My deviantART Story
I used to draw a lot when I was a child. From my favorite cartoon characters, to airplanes, to random scenes that I pictured in my mind, I was a decent artist, and won a few art contests in elementary school, but there were always people who were better than I was. When I entered middle school, I lost interest in drawing, and became more interested in something I was really good at--writing. Drawing and painting fell by the wayside, until high school, when I took an introduction to art class. That was where reality set in: I sucked at drawing. No matter how hard I tried, I just could not produce anything that looked remotely like what it wa
Summer is (almost) Here
:bulletblue: Wrap up on the art show. I sold two framed prints and , 2 5x7 raw prints as well as numerous cards. I did better this year than last year, and also got a recommendation to do a show in August. (Hopefully I will have time)
:bulletred:I am a litle stressed right now, with the end of the year coming up. I am leaving for my first international conference next week (June 13-15) and the paper is just fighting me all the way. (In other words, it is largely unfinished and still in outline form!)

At any rate, I will once again be showing my work at the Foster City Art and Wine festival. For those of you who are in the San Francisco Bay Area, the gala opening reception will be on Friday, May 30th, from 5-7 p.m. at the REc Center. The show will run Saturday and Sunday from 11-7 both days. I will be splitting
Devious Journal Entry
I haven't had much time to do anything (photography or drawing) because I have been so busy and things have been crazy since September. For those who didn't know via my Facebook feed, in September, I was diagnosed with Mono (quite rare in my age group) and basically spent all of September and half of October bedridden. I couldn't even drive myself to work--I had to be driven to work, because the combined stress of driving and working would be too much on my body, and I could relapse.
Only recently have i felt well enough to even sit up long enough to either read or write; the other day, I did some revisions on a paper, but only got through
