Grape Seller

Taken in Suzhou, China in a small villiage we visited. I initially wanted to take a photo with her face in it, but when I raised my camer, she backed away and started yelling in fear. Apprantly, she did not want her face in the picture. Her dress and her mannerisms, however, were so typical of rural China that I couldn't let the opportunity go by; I waited for just the right moment to take the shot so that her face was not visible. 2 seconds later, she looked up again.
As a result of the timeing and quickness needed to take this shot, I didn't have time to adjust the camera settings, so the background is still in focus. I may blur the background somewhat so that it is not so distracting.
